Joshua R. Van Kampen joined Patterson Harkavy in 2010, after having been a partner at Fosbinder & Van Kampen, PLLC in Charlotte. His areas of practice include labor and employment law, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, labor relations, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination. Josh received his B.A. degree from Purdue University and his J.D. degree magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2004, Josh worked for five years in Chicago representing employers in labor and employment litigation. Josh has since garnered widespread recognition as a leader in the field in North Carolina. In 2009, he was recognized by both North Carolina Super Lawyer Magazine and Business North Carolina Magazine as one of this state’s top labor and employment lawyers under 40 and received the same recognition from NC Super Lawyer Magazine in 2010. From 2008-2009, Josh also served as Chairman of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, Labor and Employment Law Section, and serves as that Section’s Ethics Chair.
